I&M Power to trim trees using aerial saws

Indiana Michigan Power will be trimming trees near high voltage transmission lines in southwest Michigan to remove overhanging branches that may interfere with reliable energy delivery.

They’ll be using an aerial saw suspended beneath a helicopter, making the process easier and faster than traditional trimming.

It’s set to happen February 13 through 16 between the hours of 8 a.m. and 6 p.m.
