Dueling GOP Caucus Conventions loom in Michigan next month

The Michigan GOP caucus convention has been planned. BOTH of them.

Two Republicans are claiming control of the state’s party, and each is planning a separate convention for March 2, according to Bridge Michigan.

Pete Hoekstra, who has been recognized as the head of the state’s party on a national level, will announce his plans on Friday. Meanwhile, his predecessor Kristina Karamo — who still claims she’s the one in charge of the state’s party — has announced her own plans for Detroit.

Karamo was elected a year ago and has refused to accept that she has been replaced as the head of the state’s party.
