Some Elkhart city council members are speaking out against a councilman’s comments on social media.

Councilman David Henke made a post on Facebook this month, stating that Washington Gardens and Waterfall Houses are the biggest drug houses in Elkhart, and also stating that the easiest access to drugs is in government housing.

Councilwoman LaTonya King read Henke’s post and stated that it bothered her as someone whose family lived in public housing.

And, Councilwoman Tonda Hines read a letter which condemned the comments as discouraging for those trying to get out of poverty.

According to The Elkhart Truth, Henke said the only way to fix the drug issues is to point them out. Mayor Rod Roberson called Henke’s posts “inflammatory” and says the city should adopt a social media use policy by elected officials.

Henke isn’t wrong, despite the protestations of the leftists in the D party.

Did King’s family really not know what was going in there? Does Hines think the people trying to get out of poverty don’t know?

It’s abject denial from the Dems because it’s a damning indictment of their policies.
