One day before the filing deadline, a high school swimming coach made the decision to run for Congress in an attempt to pull off an upset against Representative Rudy Yakym.

Lori Camp says when she saw Yakim had no opponent in the general election, and wasn’t even challenged in the primary, she decided to give it a go.

Camp is an I.U. South Bend graduate who works for a tech company and coaches swimming at Mishawaka High School, previously at South Bend Adams.
