Congressman Tim Walberg of Michigan has introduced a bipartisan bill to improve online privacy for young people.

The Children and Teens’ Online Privacy Protection Act will modernize and strengthen the only current online privacy law for children, which is 26 years old.

One Senator who has endorsed the bill says the current rules fail to take into consideration social media sites that didn’t exist at the time.

The full bill text can be found here.
