LaPorte man dead after being shot in Advanced Auto Parts parking lot

A LaPorte man has died after being shot multiple times in the Michigan City Advanced Auto Parts parking lot.

It happened just before 1 o’clock Monday afternoon. Michigan City Police found 27-year-old Dylan Anderson suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

Andersen was transported to the Franciscan Health Michigan City Hospital where he died from his injuries.

Authorities say responding officers were able to identify Gavin Mohamed of MIchigan City as the suspect, and he was issued a $1 million cash-only bond. His first court appearance is scheduled for April 16th.
