The South Bend Animal Resource Center has temporarily stopped accepting any dogs as strays or surrenders until at least May 1.

It’s because of a Parvo quarantine at the center.

In a post on Facebook, they say if you find a dog you can still bring it to the shelter, but leave it in your vehicle and they will come outside to scan it for a microchip to help locate an owner.

They say if you need to surrender your animal you must wait until May 1st. And they say if you bring an animal in to the center, you will be ordered back outside.
