Man pronounced dead after vehicle-bicycle collision

Authorities are investigating a collision between a Ford Escape and a bicyclist that happened Thursday night.

It happened shortly after 9:00 p.m. when the Escape, driven by a 17-year-old Edwarsburg girl, was traveling northbound on C.R. 7 and struck a 37-year-old bicyclist, Morris Williams of South Bend, who was also traveling in the northbound lane.

Williams was taken to the Elkhart General Hospital by ambulance and later pronounced dead.
