St. Joseph’s Department of Public Safety is adding a new K-9 officer named Mufasa.

He’ll partner with Officer Ryan Streelman to help locate missing people, track suspects and assist with investigations.

The Indiana Michigan Power Foundation helped fund the addition.

Mufasa and Streelman begin training next week and are expected to start serving the community in December.
