Fight leads to shots fired at University Park Mall

A fight in the center court at University Park Mall led to shots being fired.

It happened around 6:20 p.m. on Saturday, May 11.

The St. Joseph County Dispatch Center received multiple 911 calls. Officers from St. Joseph County Police, Mishawaka Police and Indiana State Police were called to the scene and cleared the mall.

All of the stores were thoroughly searched and secured.

There was no report of any injuries or gunshot victims. There was no report of any arrests.

The case is being investigated by the Mishawaka Police Major Crimes Unit.
