Notre Dame football held its first practice of the season on Wednesday morning, a highly anticipated day for fans.
The team hit the field for about 90 minutes of spirited workouts just one month before their season opener against Texas A&M.
New quarterback Riley Leonard, who transferred from Duke, worked with the first-team offense, but head coach Marcus Freeman cautioned against reading too much into this on the first day.
