Suspects in girlfriend’s shooting outside of bankruptcy court in South Bend officially charged

A suspect now faces multiple felony charges in connection with a shooting near the Federal Bankruptcy Court in South Bend. 29-year-old Juan Moreno was arrested shortly after the shooting, on Wednesday, Sep. 4, that left his girlfriend seriously injured.

Moreno has been charged with the following:

– Aggravated Battery, a level 3 felony
– Aggravated Battery, a level 3 felony
– Battery by Means of a Deadly Weapon, a level 5 felony
– Battery Resulting in Serious Bodily Injury, a level 5 felony
– Criminal Recklessness, a level 6 felony.

Moreno’s arraignment is set for September 9 at 1 p.m.
