A man’s jury trial was continued from September to next year.

Sam Loniello of Niles is charged with a robbery that happened in December. Reports say a woman reported to Goshen police that she got a ride home from the hospital from Loniello after looking for a ride on Facebook.

On the way home, he allegedly pulled into a parking lot and asked the victim for a sexual act and then slapped her about 15 times when she refused.

He then reportedly took her purse before the woman exited the car. However, it was not until four days later when he reached back out to the woman to ask to meet up for a sexual act, when police were able to locate him.

His jury trial was continued to March 3.
