The Potawatomi Zoo has welcomed two new Andean bear brothers.

They’re currently living in the Zoo’s recently-opened habitat connected to The Lodge concessions and dining facility.

The almost two-year-old brothers were born in 2022 at the Smithsonian’s National Zoo and were moved to the Potawatomi Zoo on the recommendation of the Andean Bear Species Survival Plan.

The brother bears, Ian and Sean, will stay together but will be separate from the Zoo’s first Andean bear.
