The Humane Society of Elkhart County is proud to announce its first-ever Veteran’s Day Adoption Special, valid this coming Monday, November 11, 2024.
With the adoption special, any veteran who shows a valid Military ID or DD-214 will receive waived adoption fees, free annual vaccinations for the lifetime of the pet, and 50% off a leash, collar, harness, cat carrier, and/or custom pet tag.
U.S. Army Veteran and HSEC’s Director of Veterinary Care, Dr. Kari Kryder, says “When I was a veterinarian in the Army, I felt such a sense of purpose in providing preventive veterinary care to pets of people in the military. I felt humbled in front of those that were willing to sacrifice so much for me and my country. Now I am very proud to be able to do the same for the veterans in our area.”
If anyone is interested in adopting a pet, please come visit the Humane Society of Elkhart County. All adoptions are done on a first-come, first-adopt basis, and no holds will be allowed to be placed on any animals.
