The AAA Hoosier Motor Club is looking to help you stay safe on the road.

They say more than 14,000 deer-vehicle collisions are reported in Indiana each year, and they say most of those happen in November.

So, to stay safe on the roads, they say to keep your eyes moving back and forth, use your brights whenever possible, and make sure you’re wearing your seatbelt.

Be especially watchful during rush hours, and remember that where you see one deer, there are likely others as well.

If you cannot avoid hitting a deer, use your breaks and stay in your lane.

Use hazard lights after impact and call the police for help.
