A mother has been sentenced to four years in St. Joseph County Jail for running over her 8-year-old daughter at a South Bend apartment complex last August.
Police say Jasmine White, 27, was playing a game where she raced her kids to the car, locked the doors, and pretended to leave them behind. This time, she drove faster than usual, and the child was critically injured while holding onto the door handle.
White initially pleaded not guilty but changed her plea to guilty earlier this year.
