Indiana unemployment rate grows higher than national average

Indiana’s unemployment rate is 4.4%, according to the latest figures from the Indiana Department of Workforce Development.

That’s higher than the national average by .4%.

Indiana’s labor force participation rate is slightly higher compared to the national rate. This rate is the percentage of Hoosiers 16 and older that are either working or actively looking for work. As far as industries with the biggest job increaes, it’s Professional & Business Services and manufacturing. There are currently more than 85,000 open job postings throughout the state.
