Michigan saw a big dip in retail sales during the month of February.

The latest numbers from the Michigan Retailers Association still show a strong three-month outlook, according to WSJM.

The Association says a number of retailers cite tariffs as a reason for their decline in sales, with consumers being far more cautious with their spending. The February retail index in the state was 41.5, compared to 62.2 in January on a 100-point retail index.

February had the first index rating below 50 since September of last year.
