Indiana Attorney General Todd Rokita and Secretary of State Diego Morales filed a lawsuit against the United States Department of Homeland Security and Kristi Noem for failing to verify the citizenship of nearly 600,000 voters.
The lawsuit, filed on April 16, 2025, requested DHS to confirm the citizenship status of registered voters in Indiana to ensure election integrity.
Despite previous requests and letters sent to DHS, the lawsuit says the agency ignored or denied the verification requests.
Morales and Rokita emphasized the importance of election integrity and expressed confidence in President Trump’s administration to address the matter.
