Bicycle collision results in injuries on Spring Mill Drive in Elkhart County

A collision involving a bicycle and a Dodge Ram pickup truck resulted in injuries at the intersection of Spring Mill Dr and Montrose Park Dr this morning.
The incident occurred just before 10 a.m. on Tuesday, June 3, the driver of a 2002 Dodge Ram, traveling southwest on Spring Mill Dr, disregarded a stop sign and began turning onto Montrose Park Dr. Meanwhile, a 74-year-old bicyclist was traveling northeast on Montrose Park Dr. The bicyclist did not have a stop sign and entered the intersection.
The Dodge Ram struck the bicyclist, causing injuries. The bicyclist sustained a cut under the left eye, a cut on the left arm, and a cut on the right elbow. Emergency responders arrived at the scene, and the bicyclist was treated for the injuries.
The driver of the Dodge Ram, who was wearing a seatbelt and was uninjured, was cited for disregarding a stop sign.
The Elkhart Police Department responded to the scene and is investigating the incident further.
