Pedestrian hit by train in Goshen, Injured man taken to hospital

A 22-year-old man was hospitalized after being struck by a train in Goshen.

The incident happened just after 12 a.m. on Saturday, June 14, in the 3400 block of Elkhart Road. Goshen Police and Fire Department personnel responded to reports of a train-pedestrian collision.

Officers arrived to find the man conscious and breathing. He was treated at the scene and transported by Goshen medics to Elkhart General Hospital for further evaluation. The extent of his injuries was not immediately released.
