The City of South Bend Department of Public Works announces the following traffic alerts starting Monday, June 16, weather permitting.

Chippewa Roundabout

Beginning Monday, June 16, the northbound lanes of Michigan Street at the Chippewa Avenue roundabout will be closed to repair a storm inlet. The southbound lanes of Michigan Street through the roundabout will remain open. Northbound traffic will detour west onto Barbie Street, then north on Main Street. The northbound lanes are expected to reopen Friday, June 20, weather permitting.

Northside Boulevard

Also starting Monday, June 16, the intersection at Northside Boulevard and Clover Street will be closed to repair a sanitary sewer. The detour route for Northside Boulevard will be 20th and Oakland streets via Mishawaka Avenue. The intersection is anticipated to fully reopen by Friday, June 27, weather permitting.
