(Jon Zimney/95.3 MNC)

Mishawaka police are investigating a shots-fired incident that occurred early this morning at a home at the intersection of East Grove and Locust Streets.

At approximately 3:40 a.m. on Friday, June 20, officers responded to reports of gunfire. Upon arrival, they discovered multiple shell casings in the street near 615 Locust Street. The residence at that address had been struck by several rounds, though fortunately, no injuries were reported.

The scene is currently being processed as an active crime scene.

The incident is not the first at this location. In September 2022, a homicide occurred at the same address, and another shots-fired call was made in March 2023.

Authorities are asking anyone with information to contact the Mishawaka Police Detective Bureau at 574-258-1684 or Michiana Crime Stoppers at 574-288-STOP (7867).
