Retired South Bend police lieutenant Dave Shock has died

Retired South Bend police lieutenant Dave Shock has died. Shock passed away on June 13, according to the department.

He spent 16 years as the voice of Michiana Crime Stoppers and started with the department in 1970 after serving in the U.S. Army.

He worked patrol, served undercover in Special Operations, and spent 20 years supervising the midnight shift.
