Five detained after stolen vehicle pursuit

Police took part in the pursuit of a stolen motor vehicle in Howard Township.
The chase began around 1:45 a.m. on Thursday, June 26, in Niles. The chase led into Cass County and ended after the vehicle ran over stop sticks in the 58000 block of Dailey Road.
Occupants of the vehicle attempted to flee on foot after the vehicle became disabled.
Deputies were able to locate and detain five suspects.
While on scene Cass County Sheriff’s deputies recovered stolen property and confirmed the vehicle was stolen.
Due to several of the suspects being juveniles none of the names will be released.

Hopefully we will learn more about this group of people. It’s difficult to be cautious and remain vigilant to our neighbors when we don’t even know what last names are for the thieves.

Auto theft and running from police, isn’t that something we should have some awareness about?
