South Bend is revitalizing a vacant lot, formerly the YMCA, on Northside Boulevard for new housing.
The redevelopment commission is seeking proposals for small-scale apartments, townhomes, or single-family homes.
Officials hope this development will add value and beauty to the community.
Proposals are due in September, with a final decision on a developer made in October or November.
Construction is set to start in mid-2026.
