Two men arrested after crash in Goshen, drug and firearm charges filed

Two men from Fort Wayne were arrested early Wednesday morning following a hit-and-run crash in Goshen that led to multiple felony charges.
According to Goshen Police, officers initiated a traffic stop around 1:03 a.m. on July 2 in the 2900 block of W. Wilden Avenue after witnessing a vehicle flee the scene of an accident.
The driver, identified as 29-year-old Justin Garman of River Forest Drive in Fort Wayne, was taken into custody on charges of Operating While Intoxicated, Leaving the Scene of an Accident, Possession of a Controlled Substance, and Operating a Motor Vehicle Without Ever Obtaining a License.
A passenger in the vehicle, 32-year-old Thomas Pace of W. Coliseum Boulevard, was arrested for Possession of Methamphetamine and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Serious Violent Felon.
Both suspects were booked into the Elkhart County Jail. Police say a report has been filed and the investigation is ongoing.
