The Indiana Department of Workforce Development was recently awarded more than 6.25 million dollars.

The federal grants will be used to expand Registered Apprenticeship Programs in the state. It’s part of an $84 million U.S. Department of Labor initiative to grow the programs in the country.

The investments will help grow partnerships with businesses and training providers to strengthen Indiana’s workforce.

Department of Workforce Development leaders say the funding comes at a great moment for growing outreach and support for apprenticeships.
