Motorcyclist injured in Sunday morning crash on Milburn Boulevard

A South Bend man was seriously injured after his motorcycle collided with a car on Milburn Boulevard.

The crash happened around 3:45 a.m. on Sunday, July 13, in the 1800 block of Milburn. According to Mishawaka Police, a 32-year-old motorcyclist struck the rear of a passenger vehicle while both were heading westbound.

The motorcycle rider suffered a broken leg and head injuries. He was transported to a local hospital, where he was admitted for treatment. The driver of the car, a 29-year-old Mishawaka resident, was not reported injured.

Authorities have not yet determined whether drugs or alcohol were factors in the crash, and it is currently unknown whether the motorcyclist was wearing a helmet.

The incident remains under investigation. Anyone who witnessed the crash is encouraged to contact the Mishawaka Police Department Traffic Bureau at 574-259-2966.
