Fatal collision on U.S. 20 claims life of 22-year-old Middlebury man

A crash on U.S. 20 has resulted in the death of a Middlebury man. It happened just before 1:30 p.m. on Monday, July 28, near the intersection with County Road 35.

Jacob Fain, 22, the driver of a 2009 Kawasaki EX 2 motorcycle traveling westbound and collided with a 2024 Ford F650 truck driven by an Elkhart resident who was attempting to turn left from the eastbound lane when Fain’s motorcycle struck the back passenger side of the truck.

Emergency services transported Fain to the hospital where he died.

No citations have been issued as authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the collision.

Once again an innocents motorcycle man killed by someone not looking not paying attention and turning right in front of them Happened to me way too often
