The St. Joseph County Prosecutor’s Office charged Amante A. Vazquez, 27, of Michigan City, and Savannah Ragan, 23, of South Bend, with charges stemming from the July 26, 2025, fatal shooting of Donovan Russell, 25, of South Bend.

Charges include Murder, Firearm Enhancement., Aiding, Inducing or Causing Murder, a felony.

The sentencing range for carries a sentence of 45 to 65 years.

Both suspects are currently being held at the St. Joseph County Jail with no bond.

Vazquez’s initial court date is August 4, 2025 and Ms. Ragan’s initial court date is August 11, 2025.
