A Dowagiac man faces charges after a break-in and assault in Lincoln Township. It happened Saturday around 1:30 a.m. in the 5600 block of Karen Court in Stevensville.
WSJM reports that the 33 year-old suspect forced his way into the home where a woman and her young children were sleeping. He allegedly assaulted the woman when she confronted him, and a second man entered the home to remove the suspect, who was injured. He’s now in the Berrien County Jail.
The children in the home were not injured.
