Michiana is marking three years since former Congresswoman Jackie Walorski died in a crash on State Road 19 near Wakarusa, along with her staffers Zachery Potts and Emma Thomson.

The other driver, Edith Schmucker, also died.

Walorski served Indiana’s 2nd Congressional District for ten years and was known for her support of veterans and strong pro-life advocacy.

Congressman Rudy Yakym, who succeeded her, honored her Sunday, calling her a friend, mentor, and fierce advocate for Hoosiers.
