More leaders are pushing back against a proposed communication tower in Clay Township.
Democratic county council members said they are searching for alternatives after neighbors voiced concerns. Republican council member Amy Drake also opposes the project.
The 275-foot tower, planned for Clayview Farms, would connect financial trades between Chicago and New York.
The county’s Board of Zoning Appeals postponed a decision.
