The Cass County Board of Commissioners has unanimously voted to terminate County Administrator Patrick Jordan.

Jordan was placed on paid leave on August 15 while an investigation into allegations stating that he made discriminatory comments about two minority groups was looked into.

Leader Publications says Jordan requested that the matter be discussed publicly and reportedly admitted to making the remarks.

The board stated that Jordan’s termination reflects the county’s commitment to professionalism.

Finance Director Jennifer Rentfrow will serve the position until a permanent replacement is found.
