Five vehicles, two apartments damaged by gunfire at Eddy Street Commons

South Bend Police are investigating following several disturbances and reports of shots fired at Eddy Street Commons.

The incidents took place around 10 p.m. on Saturday, Sep. 13, during the Notre Dame football game.

At this point, no victims have been reported, but five vehicles and two apartments sustained damage from apparent gunfire.

At least two individuals were initially detained but were ultimately released.

Multiple police units remained on-scene to assist with crowds and traffic after the game.

This case remains an active and ongoing investigation by the South Bend Police Department’s Violent Crimes Unit.
