Health grants to Indiana universities canceled

In a sweeping move, the National Institutes of Health has canceled millions in grants to Indiana’s higher education institutions, citing a shift away from diversity and vaccine-related projects.
Indiana University and Purdue University were hit the hardest, losing a combined $24.5 million.
One Purdue researcher’s cancer study was affected, while legal battles are underway to try and restore some funding.
