More than a dozen people are facing charges after a major human and sex trafficking sting in Berrien County.

Fifteen people were arrested for sex exploitation-related crimes, and one person was taken into custody on outstanding warrants, though no identities have been released yet.

Authorities say their focus isn’t only on arrests, but on identifying and helping victims.
The sheriff’s office says human trafficking happens everywhere, including locally, and each case is a chance to save a life.

Victims can call the National Human Trafficking Hotline at 1-888-373-7888.
