The Woodlawn Nature Center’s 60th Anniversary Celebration is coming up, and you’re invited.

The City of Elkhart Parks and Recreation Department is inviting the community to celebrate 60 years of nature and education with the Center.

The event is happening Saturday, November 1, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 604 Woodlawn Avenue. Families can enjoy guided hikes, local food trucks and hands-on activities, with a special ceremony at noon honoring the center’s legacy.

Founded in 1964, Woodlawn has long served as a hub for environmental education and outdoor exploration.

City officials say the anniversary marks both a celebration of the past and a look toward the future of this treasured community space.
