Benton Harbor leaders seek more input on possible splash pads

The Benton Harbor City Commissioners have poured cold water on a proposed splash pad purchase.

At this week’s meeting, commissioners hesitated to approve $40,000 for two splash pads, saying they need more information on the purchases. One of them would be installed at Union Park, and the location of the second has not yet been determined.

Mayor Marcus Muhammad told WSJM that he supports the idea, but he wants to see more information.
