The Tolson Center for Community Excellence will host a community grand opening of its

fully completed outdoor campus on Sunday, November 16, 2025, from 1:00–3:00 p.m. at 1320

Benham Ave., Elkhart, IN 46516. This celebration Grand Opening (Part Two) marks the finishing

touches on Tolson’s expanded outdoor spaces, designed to power more learning, health, and

neighborhood connection.

“This outdoor campus was built with and for our community,” said Dr. Breanna Allen, Executive

Director of the Tolson Center for Community Excellence. “From healthy play to ADA Accessible

equipment, from youth leagues to intergenerational gatherings, these spaces reflect what our neighbors

said they needed most: places to belong, grow, and thrive. Because community changes everything and

together we build bright futures.”
