A high-speed pursuit on I-80 in Lake County ended late Saturday when an Indiana State Trooper used his vehicle to stop a driver traveling the wrong way on the interstate.
The driver, 45-year-old Nelson Dones of Illinois, initially fled after being clocked at 103 miles per hour and refused to exit his car after the crash. Dones now faces multiple preliminary felony charges, including Resisting Law Enforcement Causing Bodily Injury and OWI Causing Bodily Injury.
