The Berrien County Sheriff’s Office says a large federal operation across the county on Wednesday, Nov. 19, resulted in multiple arrests, extensive drug seizures, and several federal indictments.
FBI agents executed 14 search warrants across Berrien County as part of a long-running investigation involving suspects from Michigan, California, and Tennessee. The operation led to three arrests on federal charges and one arrest on state charges.
Authorities recovered five firearms, including one reported stolen, and seized a significant amount of narcotics and equipment, including:
2,550 grams of fentanyl and heroin
603 grams of cocaine
4.2 grams of crack cocaine
1 gram of methamphetamine
2 pounds of marijuana
15 ounces of codeine syrup
Two pill presses and a kilo press
Authorities say several of the individuals targeted have been under investigation for years.
The operation involved the FBI, the Berrien County Tactical Response Unit, and three K9 teams working alongside federal agents. Officials say 10 federal indictments are expected as a result of the coordinated effort.
