(95.3 MNC)

A two-vehicle crash in Howard Township sent one driver to the hospital.

Deputies were called to the intersection of Barron Lake Road and White Street around 6:15 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 5.

Investigators say a 44-year-old man from Kalamazoo was heading north on Barron Lake Road when his vehicle hit a patch of ice and lost control, crossing into the southbound lane and striking another vehicle driven by a 61-year-old Niles man.

The driver from Niles was taken by ambulance to South Bend Memorial Hospital for treatment. The Kalamazoo man was treated at the scene for minor injuries.
