Dozens turned away at Union Station naturalization ceremony

(95.3 MNC)
Dozens of people were turned away at a naturalization ceremony Tuesday at Union Station.
Out of 100 prospective citizens, 38 couldn’t complete sign-in, sparking questions about the process.
Marion County Clerk Kate Sweeney Bell, who helps new citizens register to vote, condemned the turnaways.
Immigration attorney Rachel VanTyle says these obstacles are becoming more common, even for legal permanent residents who have completed all the required steps for citizenship.
