Search warrant leads to multiple meth arrests in Calvin Township

Three people were arrested following a search warrant execution tied to a felonious assault investigation in Cass County.

According to the Cass County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded around 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 23, to a report of a felonious assault in the 1800 block of Brownsville Street in Calvin Township. While attempting to make an arrest related to that assault, deputies reported finding methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia at the residence.

Investigators then obtained a search warrant, which was executed with assistance from the Cass County Drug Enforcement Team. During the search, additional methamphetamine was located and seized.

A 59-year-old woman was arrested at the scene, with charges being sought for possession of methamphetamine and maintaining a drug house. A 28-year-old man was arrested on charges of felonious assault and possession of methamphetamine. A 21-year-old woman was also arrested for possession of methamphetamine.
