South Bend man charged in Christmas Eve shooting of 12-year-old

A South Bend man has been charged in the Christmas Eve shooting of a 12-year-old boy in South Bend.
 According to court documents, Jose Garcia got into an argument with his adult neighbor at a gas station near Western Avenue and Falcon Street.
The argument turned physical, and investigators say Garcia fired a handgun.
The shot missed the neighbor but struck the neighbor’s son.
WSBT reports Garcia has a prior conviction for intimidation.
