Elkhart police were called at 10:17 p.m. on December 23 to the 700 block of Monroe Street where they found a 17-year-old boy with gunshot wounds inside the apartment building.

He was taken to the hospital for treatment.

Police also learned an 18-year-old male arrived at the hospital with non-life-threatening gunshot injuries related to the incident.
