A Fulton County man – who was formerly an Indiana State Police trooper more than 20 years ago – is accused of driving drunk and holding a woman against her will in Rochester.
Police say the woman and a friend met 43-year-old Todd Bailey at Rumor’s bar early January 29. Because the woman was too intoxicated to drive, Bailey offered to take them home.
Court documents say when she later asked to return to the bar to look for car keys, Bailey drove the opposite direction toward U.S. 31. The woman reportedly threatened to jump from the truck and called 911.
Police say Bailey eventually dropped her off at the Paradise Truck Stop.
Officers later found two loaded guns and open alcohol containers in his vehicle.
Bailey is charged with operating while intoxicated and criminal confinement.
